Here we all are, in quarantine, sheltering in place. And when I say we, I mean all of us, everyone, the whole world. We are all in this together. It becomes a very humbling knowledge that we are all traveling the same path. Praying for our medical front line, our governments, and our friends and families. While the planet is healing, the air is clearing and nature is breathing a sigh of relief. But it is getting hard for us humans, this waiting for the world to open again. It's like one day runs into another day, and here we are, at Easter weekend and wondering how we will celebrate this holiday without an Easter egg hunt, a brunch and wearing a bonnet to church?
Possibly we can rise above our "human-ness" by first engaging with the heavenly realm. Simply just asking Jesus to come into our hearts, and surrendering to his love. It's honestly that simple. Just let him love you. And right now, while we surrender to our situation, surrender to governments, surrender to loss of work, surrender to needing each other, doesn't it seem fitting that we surrender to our creator?
It's a very simple prayer, "Jesus I ask you to come into my life, I surrender to your love."
We all need a lot of love right now. And if you pray that simple prayer, I can promise you that the angels in heaven will be celebrating.
